PANAMA CITY BEACH- One of the reasons the holiday is thousands of peoples favorite time of the years is because it brings back memories and traditions.
A new survey analyzed a poll of about two-thousand adults across the country and 9 out of 10 said they celebrate Christmas.
About half as a religious holiday, and about a third as more of a cultural occasion. I spoke to some locals and here are some of their favorite traditions.
"We just open Christmas present and our dad always tells us which one to open and its always pajamas, always," said James Green, Shopper.
"We have lots of fun with Christmas cookies. We usually don't cut them with regular cutters. We end up using our fingers," said Barbara Green, Shopper.
The survey also shows the number of people planning to put up a tree has dropped. There are also a fewer Christmas card senders and less people plan on attending religious services.
