Pet Photoshoot to Benefit Humane Society

The Bay County Humane Society is inviting everyone to share a picture of their pet.

Bay County wants to help showcase the cute pets of the panhandle, while raising money for a good cause.

The Humane Society hosted a pet photo shoot Saturday at the John Lee Nissan-Mazda car dealership to help pet owners get that perfect shot.

For a small donation, residents could get a professional picture taken of their furry friend and the chance to be featured in the 2014 calendar.

The 24 cutest dogs will be featured on different months of the calendar and the one with the highest number of votes will be featured on the front cover.

You can vote for your favorite by logging on to their website: adoptme.org.

Sean Brosnan, the Marketing Coordinator for the Bay County Humane Society said Saturday, "the humane society of Bay County is the county's only no kill shelter, so either helping us at events like this or helping us out at a fundraiser like this... however you can do it to help will be great."

The Humane Society says this is the biggest fundraiser of the year and they hope to bring in close to $25,000.

All of the money will be used to care for the animals awaiting adoption.
