Panama City- Bay County Commission also approved $30,000 in economic incentive money to attract a new company.

"Project Dove" involves an unnamed environmental consulting company that wants to expand to bay county.

The company is promising to create several dozen new jobs.

County officials say these are good jobs and pay 200 percent of the average wage in bay county.

"It's good for Bay County. It's like 30 jobs. 200 percent the average wage that equated to something like 66 thousand dollars. So they're high tech jobs. They're in a targeted area, we're trying to enter, IT type, so it's good," said Guy Tunnell, Bay County Commissioner.

Commissioners approved the grant application today.

The state also has to approve it.

The company will be announced later this summer.
