It has rained a total of 8.26 inches already in August. Only four days have been dry so far and it is having an impact on businesses around town.
Many businesses are seeing a turn for the worst with the weather we are having lately, from gas stations offering car washes to golf courses.
Hombre Golf Course has been closed seven of the first 20 days in August.
Last month it was closed 15 days.
Even when the sun comes out it doesn't always mean play time because the courses have to be dry.
"The rain is definitely affecting our business,” said Craig Hanlin, the general manager at Hombre. “We can watch the revenue go where the waters going. Down, down the drain."
Hombre hopes the excitement will build while golfers have to stay away from the course and people will want to come out and play as soon as the rain stops.
