July started off very wet and is expected to end on a wet note. Through Tuesday morning July 30th, rainfall totals from Panama City and the beach have ranged anywhere from 14 to 22 inches!

Official rain data has never been kept in Bay County, but many locals will tell you this is the wettest July they have ever seen! Even wetter than that blockbuster July 1994 rain machine Tropical Storm Alberto.

Panama City Beach International Airport is holding firm at 14.74 inches of rain as of Tuesday morning, while some early showers on the beach pushed the monthly total closer to 22".

To put it all in perspective, most of the Emerald Coast has seen about 2 to 3 times normal July rain
