Red Cross Annual Expo

The Red Cross is hosting its 11th annual Gulf Coast Home and Garden Expo and it's the first year admission is free.

ion is free.About 40 vendors are displaying products at the Bay County Fairgrounds at East 15th Street and Sherman Ave for Home and Garden to pest control and remodeling.

Representatives are here from companies like Sears, Home Depot and even Gulf Power.

All proceeds benefit the Central Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross local disaster relief.

Red Cross director. "This is the money where events like this and local contributions that we use when we show up at 3'o'clock in the morning and help the fire victims so it's really important for us. The Red Cross is not a government agency there is no government funding. The funding that we use to go out and help local disaster victims comes from donations and events like this."

The expo is also offering seminars through this weekend. Doors will be open again 8 a-m to 5 p-m Saturday and 8 a-m to 3 p-m Sunday.
