Members of Parents, Families/Friends of Lesbians and Gays, or PFLAG, organized a candlelight vigil Tuesday night in support of equal marriage rights.
The vigil ties in with others around the nation as people wait to hear the decision from the Supreme Court on two separate cases that would have a major impact on the future of marriage equality across the country."
"It makes it equal, makes it like everybody elses," said Rebecca Montez, an equal marriage supporter and board member of PFLAG. "It means that I don't have to think I'm a second class citizen or that she's a second class citizen or that we aren't worthy of having that title just because we're both women."
Members say they wanted to show the historically conservative Panama City area that they have a presence in Bay County.
