Scholarship for Students from the Green Thumb Garden Club

Every year, members of the Green Thumb Garden Club of Santa Rosa Beach choose one high school or college student interested in or studying environmental science and award them a $1,000 scholarship.

Alannah Anderson, is a four time recipient of the scholarship.

She's used the money to buy books and housing for college.

"For undergrad, I graduated with an environmental science degree and a GIS certificate,” said Anderson. “And for graduate, I graduated with GIS degree and so that is what I am doing now is GIS."

A majority of the scholarship money comes from the Green Thumb Garden Clubs fundraising efforts.
