At Mosley High School today some students overheard another student stating he was going to bring a weapon on campus tomorrow, Friday, September 21st. The students reported the concern to school admin and the School Resource Deputy. .
School authorities and the SRD interviewed all involved students, thoroughly investigated the student in question, visited his home and talked with his parents.
Principal Sandra Harrison stated that this a case of rumor getting out of control and that this student does not pose a threat. However, she does appreciate the fact that the students took responsibility to report the information.
She reassured parents in a voice message through the school district IRIS emergency alert notification system that school administration takes student safety very seriously and that they are safe at Mosley High School. They look for a great day at school tomorrow (Friday)
