Second Drowning This Week At P-C-B

A Georgia vacationer drowned Sunday afternoon while swimming in the Gulf at Panama City Beach.

Stephen Paul Mann, 33, was swimming with friends behind Regency Towers Condominiums on Thomas Drive when he got into distress.

Friends tried to get him back to shore but were unsuccessful. Persons nearby on a Jet Ski also attempted but couldn’t.

Bay County Sheriff’s deputies got Mann from the water and EMS Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
