Shakeup Coming at Mexico Beach PD

Mexico Beach is looking for a new Police Chief. Current chief Brad Hall is retiring from the position effective October 2nd.

Hall informed city commissioners of his decision on August 2nd. He and two of his officers have been on administrative leave for a little more than a month pending findings of an internal investigation of the department. .

The city has not indicated the nature of that probe, which is still underway.

In his letter to city officials Hall said he'd been associated with the city since he was 12 years old, starting out as Chief of the Junior Fire Department.

He's served as Police Chief since 1999.
