A banner plane has reportedly crashed just west of the Northwest Florida Beaches Airport near West Bay.

The plane went down around 2 PM and reportedly had one person on board.

Late reports indicated the plane, which had been flying advertising banners over Spring Break crowds, went down in a wooded area about 2 and a half miles west of the airport and about a mile and a half north north of CR 388 on State Road 79.

Reports from the scene say the pilot was okay and was being treated for minor injuries.
