PANAMA CITY - A Panama City woman is receiving her Christmas present a few days early, but not a day too soon.

After months of separation, Morgan Griffis was reunited with her boyfriend, who serves overseas in the U.S. Air Force.

Daniel Cooper was deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan a few months ago.

About two weeks ago, Cooper was told he could finally come home.

Sunday he flew back to Panama City; just in time for the holidays.

"This time I was lucky to get to come home early. It's been a rush these last couple of days," Cooper said.

With the help of Griffis' best friend, Cooper pulled off a Kodak moment at Bennigan's Sunday night.

"I didn't expect this at all it was very exciting," Griffis said.

After a few kisses and some long overdue hugs, the two celebrated with a glass of champagne.

The two will be spending the holiday season together before he's redeployed.
