Sonic Money Goes Missing, Manager Arrested

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Sonic on Highway 231 in Panama City in reference to the theft of cash on September 7th.

The manager of the store reported that one of the store’s deposits never showed up on bank records and it had become apparent it was stolen.

A review of security video in the store revealed that the overnight manager, 21 year old Ariel Davis went into the safe numerous times during the overnight shift.

During an interview last week, Davis stated she took the money with her to Dothan and paid her boyfriend’s light bill and cell phone bill with it and the rest on entertainment.

Davis was arrested and charged with grand theft and taken to the Bay County Jail.
