Kellog Park located right on the bay in South Walton has recently opened.
The park has plenty of picnic tables, grills and kayaking access.
Friday, District 5 Commissioner Cindy Meadows and other county officials came out for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Many officials hope this new park will give visitors and residents another activity to enjoy in South Walton.
"We have quite a bite of land we can use,” said Commissioner Meadows. “There will be a building with restrooms and classrooms so that we can educate people on nature. We can also have eco-sploring, which the TDC is helping us advertise."
Meadows hopes to have the new facility built in the next year.
