Tuesday's fire at Springfield's city hall is causing more problems as the public utilities offices closed down leaving residents no way to pay their bills.
To make up for the inconvenience, officials from the Public Works Department have agreed with other representatives from city hall to waive late fees for residents.
Officials hope to have city hall opened up again by next week. They expect it to be open and staffed by Wednesday at the latest.
