Walton, FL-- Thanks to the Taylor Haugen Foundation and St. Joe Community Foundatoin football is a safer sport for the South Walton High School and Emerald Coast Middle School.
After experiencing their son's death as a Niceville football player, both Brian and Kathy Haugen have made it their mission to equip students with the best available material for ultimate protection.
They have teamed up with a company based out of Georgia called EvoShield who specializes in making form fitting material that hardens once is applied to the body.
Though the Haugen's admit there is a log way to go, they are confident this is a great start for their YESS program (Youth Equipment for Sports Safety) to properly equip young student athletes.
