TAMPA - A Florida State Trooper comes to the rescue of a pregnant woman who could not make it to the hospital in time.
Trooper Dennis Rich was investigating a traffic crash on I-4 in Tampa around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon when a minivan stopped in the center lane and waved him over.
Wiclef Desamour’s wife, Latoya, was in labor and the couple knew they would not make it to the hospital in time. So, Rich hopped in the minivan and moments later helped deliver a healthy baby girl.
Arabella is the Desamour’s fourth child. They also have a seven-year old daughter, five-year-old son, and an 18-month-old daughter.
