42 year old Sonia Westmoreland died Wednesday.
She’d been in critical condition at Bay Medical Center since Sunday night.
Panama City Beach Police say Westmoreland trying to help some of her family members out of the water behind the Driftwood Lounge off of Front Beach Road.
They all made it out safely.
Then someone noticed Westmoreland floating face down in the water. Beach Fire and Rescue performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took over.
Red Flags were flying at the time Westmoreland got into trouble.
