SANTA ROSA BEACH, Florida - State Troopers are investigating a traffic accident that seriously injured a teenager on his skateboard.
According to the police report, 15-year-old Dalton McGriff was riding his skateboard on County Road 30A in Santa Rosa Beach on Sunday afternoon. When he tried to cross 30A at County Road 393, using a marked crosswalk, State Troopers say McGriff was hit by a car.
McGriff was flown by helicopter to Bay Medical Center/Sacred Heart in serious condition.
Charges are pending against 56-year-old John Allen of Santa Rosa Beach, the driver of the Toyota Solara that State Troopers say hit McGriff.
