PANAMA CITY BEACH - A non-profit Christian organization is teaming up with Harley Davidson for the first annual "The Ride for the Ark".
The event took place Saturday at Harley Davidson shop on Back Beach Road.
A free concert which began after the charity ride featured southern rock legend Harley "Coconut" Lamoureux, Nashville singer-songwriter Jerry Arhelger and Panama City Beach's very own Bill Small.
The ark is a church organization on Front Beach Road that helps others through transitional housing programs, and many more organizations.
"Over the years The Ark, everybody just sort of forgot about it. It's important we let them know that we're still here, and we're still helping people and we're going to continue to help people. We hope that people will come along side of us and partner with us in what we are doing so we can change this beach. We want to make a difference," said Misty Hicks of The Ark.
All proceeds that are collected Saturday will go to future projects like The Ark coffee shop that is scheduled to open this summer.
