Thousands Flock to Miracle Strip for Free Rides

PANAMA CITY BEACH - Bay County residents are enjoying an early Christmas present this year from Miracle Strip.

More than 5,000 people visited the park for free rides all day long.

The park opened at noon Saturday and closed at 6 p.m.

It is the second year that owners have held this event.

Organizers decided to hold it again after hearing so much positive feedback from the community.

The Miracle Strip owners say they want to help needy families during the holiday season.

"People that usually don't come here they get to come here and enjoy everything. It's just a great experience to see everyone smiling and knowing that they are having a good Christmas as well," Davis Meeks, Miracle Strip Manager.

Organizers say Saturday's crowd is one of the biggest on record for the park.

The family will to continue to offer the community free rides around Christmas every year.

This is the last year it will be held in the Pier Park location before they move.
