Late Thursday afternoon, the 6 member jury found Timothy Foxworth guilty of child abuse, not aggravated child abuse which would have meant a much longer sentence.
Foxworth claims his 2-year-old son slipped out of an infant bath seat in 2011 and fell. But the surgeon who performed emergency brain surgery says there is no way the little boy's skull would have ruptured if Foxworth's story was true.
Sentencing is set for a week from Monday. Foxworth faces up to five years in prison.
