Springfield police have identified a Louisville, Kentucky man who died during a traffic crash Wednesday afternoon.
It happened a little before 3:00 PM at the intersection of east 15th Street and Transmitter Road.
Investigators say 71-year-old Terell Wayne Reedy was driving his red Chevrolet pick-up truck southbound on Transmitter. Reedy drove through the intersection, jumped the median, slammed through the fence at Kensinger Mobile Homes, then hit the side of one of the homes. By the time rescuers got to him, Reedy was dead.
Investigators believe he may have suffered a medical condition that led to the crash. The medical examiner's office is performing an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
