PANAMA CITY BEACH - Dozens of volunteers came out to the City Pier to clean up the beach before the start of summer.

Ron Jon's Surf Shop and the United Way teamed up for the 7th annual Beach Clean Up.

Organizers provide the trash bags and the gloves.

They plan the Beach Clean Up around this time every year after spring break.

"If they love coming to the most beautiful beaches in the world, which is in Panama City Beach. Take care of it and we will be here for a long time. Keep it clean and keep it beautiful," said Sara Totten with Ron Jon Surf Shop.

After volunteers finished filling up a trash bag, they could turn it in for a raffle ticket.

A few lucky winners took home prizes, like gift cards to Pier Park venues and a surfboard.

The money donated during Sunday's event was matched dollar for dollar by Ron Jon's Surf Shop.

More than 50 bags of trash were collected thought the day.
