Two Hurt in Car Crash

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after two people were hurt in a car crash Sunday in Panama City Beach.

Officials say the crash happened at the intersection of Front Beach Road and 12th Street.

The two cars were traveling in opposite directions when they collided head-on.

Witnesses in the area say they heard a loud bang and saw several people surrounding the two cars with flashlights outside.

"The young fella that came out, he was moving. I guess he was conscious, but the rescue team did a heck of job. They cut the roof off the car and the doors were torn off. I just hope they're all going to be okay," said Jerry Stokes, witness.

EMS officials transported the two people to the hospital.

Still no word yet on their condition.
