Two Local Businesses Catch Fire

PANAMA CITY BEACH-- Panama City Beach Fire Rescue officials were kept busy this afternoon.

Officials blocked off traffic along parts of Front Beach Road after receiving a call around 5:15 p.m. about a fire in the Oasis Worship Center parking lot.

Fire Rescue and Bay County Fire Services were both on site. The building that caught fire was a small storage building in the same lot.

Officials say they put the flames out quickly.

A few minutes later the crew received a call about an air conditioning fire at the Treasure Cove Motel on Thomas Drive.

Officials say the flames and smoke caused minimal damage to the motel.

No one was injured in either of this afternoon's fires.
