The Panama City Police Department continues its investigation of Sunday night's shooting that left two dead and another on the run who later died during a gun fight with police.
The shooting occurred at the Courtyard Marriott located at 905 E.
23rd Place in Panama City.
Following notification of next of kin, the male victim has been identified as 57 year old Johnny Floyd Graham, a resident of Wilson, North Carolina. The female victim has been identified as 44 year old Vikitha Marcel Briggs of Callaway.
The shooting suspect is identified as 51 year old Glen Llewellyn Briggs of Lynn Haven.
Glen Briggs and Vikitha Briggs are married and have been residing at separate residences.
Johnny Graham was known to both Vikitha and Glen Briggs.
A regional bulletin listing Glen Briggs as a suspect and the vehicle he was driving was sent to all area law enforcement agencies and the United States Marshals Florida Regional Task Force to help locate
and apprehend Briggs for two counts of murder.
Approximately two hours after the shooting in Panama City, Briggs was observed by law enforcement officers driving along Interstate 10 in Leon County.
A vehicle stop was conducted and there was an exchange of gunfire between the officers and Briggs.
Briggs was later pronounced deceased at a Leon County area hospital.
The incident involving the vehicle stop and shooting in Leon County is being investigated by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office along with the Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The investigation of the shooting in Panama City still under investigation and further information may be released as it becomes available.
