Violent Crash In Okaloosa Co. Injures Four People

OKALOOSA COUNTY - Four people are injured in a violent crash on Highway 98 in Okaloosa County.

State Troopers say Lee Morris , 72, of Hot Springs Arkansas, was trying to cross both lanes of eastbound 98 at the Seawall. But he failed to see a van in the inside lane.

The van hit the driver side of Morris’ Chevy Equinox. The SUV continued traveling north, crossed the median and both lanes of westbound 98, coming to a rest on the shoulder.

Morris was flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola in critical condition, along with passenger Daniel Miller, 43, of Rogers, Arkansas.

Morris’ wife, Mary, 72, and Miller’s wife, Tracy 43, both suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

Troopers say charges are pending.
