Volunteer Firefighters Receive Free Training

Niceville- With budget cuts across the country, volunteer fire-fighters are in more demand more than ever.
Saturday, hundreds of volunteers from around the state joined together at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville for some intense training.

“We don’t get as much funding as the bigger departments, so it’s easier to come to something free," said Davis Groves.

Normally the classes and training would cost thousands of dollars to fund but instead, these volunteers got a 3-day course for free.
