Now that the US Supreme Court has ended part of the Voting Rights Act, Governor Rick Scott has directed Florida’s Secretary of State to start reviewing voting rolls for illegal voters.
Scott says no one’s votes should be canceled by someone who isn’t voting legally.
"Nothing's happening yet. The supreme court has allowed us to start working with our supervisor elections to make sure that our secret right to vote is not diluted. Every citizen has a right to vote in our state and registers to vote, registers to vote, that vote should not be diluted by somebody that does not have a right to vote. By somebody that is illegally voting," said Scott.
No voters have yet been purged, but the process is only beginning.
