NEW YORK CITY - Congratulations to Newschannel 7’s Cameron Taylor.

Cameron took home a big award Monday night in the Big Apple, a national Edward R. Murrow.

Cameron won ‘Best Hard News Story’ for a radio report on Florida’s oyster crisis. He produced the story for WUFT-FM in Gainesville where he worked before graduating from the University of Florida this Spring and accepting the job at WJHG.

This is a very prestigious honor. The Murrow’s recognize the best of the best stories produced by news organizations from around the world. Only 94 were awarded.

"We are pleased to recognize outstanding network and local electronic journalism on a national stage," said Mike Cavender, Executive Director of RTDNA. "Journalists around the world can look to the examples of our winners as a guide to doing great work in their own newsrooms."

Congratulations Cameron!
