Walton Co. Cleaning up Beaches After Spring Breakers

Walton County Officials are putting in extra hours to clean up the beaches after spring breakers.

The Walton County Tourist Development Council is responsible for beach maintenance along the county's 26 miles of beaches.

TDC officials say they've placed more than 500 trash bins on the beaches.

They also have as many as 20 people working at the same time on the clean up crews.

Walton County Sheriff's Deputies also help, reminding breakers to clean up after themselves.

Beach maintenance crews pick up more than 1.5 million pounds of trash off of Walton beaches each year.
