Walton Crash Leaves DeFuniak Springs Man Critical

A DeFuniak Springs man is in critical condition in the Bay Medical Trauma Unit after a pre-dawn Sunday morning crash in north Walton County.

The Florida Highway Patrol say 29 year old Jason Raymond Thomas was traveling east of Rayle Road near Williams Road around 4:00 AM.

He ran off the road because of his speed on a curve. He over-corrected and went into a spin. The driver’s side of his pick up truck crashed into large tree.

Troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt and was pinned inside the cab of his truck.
