A group of Washington County Seniors visited the Council on Aging Friday for a 50's and up AARP Good Driver Program. Though none of the senior students actually had to get inside a vehicle, the program still covered all of the behind the wheel bases.
Some insurance companies offered a discounted rate to those who participated in the course, and some admitted the incentive was good motivation to go. But others told us they went to learn how to manage distractions. One student said that because he own technology that didn't exist when he got his license, taking the course was something he definitely needed to do. All 11 of the seniors who participated in the program were expected to graduate with honors.
