ST. ANDREWS-- A tourist is in the hospital Thursday evening after beach-goers found her face-down in the water this afternoon.
It happened about 3:15 at St. Andrews State Park Thursday afternoon.
Bay County Sheriff's Deputies say other swimmers found the 60 year old woman unresponsive in the water near the jetties.
Deputies, Wildlife Officers, EMS, and Fire and Rescue all responded.
Paramedics took the woman to Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center.
Yellow surf warning flags were flying at the time of the incident.
But authorities say she suffered from a previous medical condition that may have played a role.
They have not released he name of her current condition.
