Panama City recently celebrated it's 103rd birthday and so did a local woman Monday.
Ossie Heaton, celebrates her 103rd birthday, and she has some great advice for staying active and young as you age. "Happy birthday Mom, I love you," said her son Ralph Heaton.
She is the oldest of five generations. "I wouldn't dare try to name them all because I can't," Heaton laughed, but she still knows who her favorites are.
"He knows it too," Heaton said pointing her finger at one of her sons.
She has shared her wisdom with dozens of children over the years. "It's a true blessing to have her here,” said granddaughter Lisa Killingswoth. “Growing up and learning the old ways. How she used to talk about plowing the ground and picking cotton."
But even at 103 Ossie Heaton has no problem staying active and keeping everyone laughing.
"Talking, singing and just enjoying life in general."
And she has advice for staying so young on her 103rd birthday. "Just be yourself and try not to make a big boogieboo out of it, always stay honest."
Ossie say she'll keep singing and will stay young because of it.
