Hundreds of women in Panama City Beach spent Saturday morning learning about different health issues, socializing and enjoying a free brunch.
Gulf Coast Medical Center sponsored a free women's health seminar at Boatyard. The hospital puts events like this one on so women can learn about all kinds of health issues throughout all stages of life.
Doctors and surgeons spoke about a variety of things like knee replacements, pediatric surgery and post partum depression and women were encouraged to schedule their next mammogram.
They try to tailor the seminars towards all generations so women of all ages can benefit.
"We are really centered around women's health care because the women we feel like is what's driving the family health care to be taken care of all their family so we're really trying to educate them more, get them involved so they can get their family involved, said Women’s Health Navigator, Kay Hankins.
The hospital sponsors women's events quarterly and the next one will be in January or February.
