The weekend is fast approaching so put on your walking shoes!

It's the 4th Annual Buddy Walk Saturday, this year at Aaron Bessant Park. For the past four years hundreds of people in our area have participated as well as walkers from surrounding counties. Hundreds come to Panama City Beach to support 'Acton up with Downs.'

The local down syndrome support group donates all the proceeds to the community through a variety of services. Event organizers and volunteers say this event helps spread awareness and support throughout the community. Buddy Walk volunteer Lynn Welch said the event raises awareness and inclusion for those with down syndrome.

Registration begins at 8:30AM Saturday and activities go throughout the day including live music, entertainment, games and raffles. For more information you can also call 850-249-9988.
