Washington, D.C. – Even as President Barack Obama meets with BP’s CEO in the White House, The Republican National Committee (RNC) is releasing a new web video asking the question: “What took so long?”

The video points out that it has been 58 days since the oil rig explosion, and pokes fun of the president’s actions in the meantime, highlighting the six rounds of golf the president has played.

The video also uses sound and video of NBC’s Matt Lauer questioning the president during an interview on the “Today” show, and uses a sound bite of Bill Clinton’s former campaign strategist, James Carville, as he demands that the president do more.

The web video, can be viewed here:

Meanwhile, the president is expected to make a public address, following his private meeting with BP’s CEO, in the Rose Garden later Wednesday.
