A new non-profit group for spay and neuter education, Feral Cat Rescue, is giving you the opportunity to rescue cat or kittens this weekend.
The group is hosting their first annual Purr-A-Thon event at Suncoast Aquariums and Pet supplies in Panama City Beach.
About ten cats and kittens are available to look and play with. The group's primary purpose is for trap, neuter and release of cats.
"The kittens are from our spay/neuter projects where we're raising money to spay and neuter their parents and in the mean time adopting out the kittens or they're pulled from animal control or from our vet but they're all formerly homeless kittens that need a home and their parents need to be spay or neutered," said President of the group, Heather Freeman.
Anyone interested in adopting the animals can apply for adoption at the store from 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
