Washington County-- A Chipley man is behind bars tonight after reportedly car-jacking a young woman in Jackson county.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's office, the incident happened just after 11:00 Friday night.

Elizabeth Reagan of Altha says Christopher Cruz Walley abducted her at knife point and forced her to drive to Magnolia Landing where Walley made Reagan get out of her car before driving off.

Washington County deputies spotted the car around 2 a.m. and tried to stop it but Walley fled leading authorities on a 15 minute chase from Washington County, into Jackson County and then back into Washington County where he crashed the 1999 Buick.

Christopher Cruz Walley of Cottondale was arrested and charged with carjacking, kidnapping and aggravated assault in Jackson County.

He faces several traffic charges in Washington County from the chase.

Walley's currently jailed in Washington County and will be brought to Jackson at a later date.
