Let's get a few facts straight. First of all, I was there. It was my friend and he wasn't drunk. He's not even from Ohio. The news is wrong and this isn't funny. It's a freak accident. It happens. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Jon - you get over yourself. I don't like kids dying here each year either. We invite them, allow them to get totally smashed with our alcohol (and the underage kids are getting it somehow!). Then some poor kids always fall to their death. I know I'm sick of it. I want them to bring the business also, but if we ask them to come we have a responsibility to keep them safe.

OKAY- Everyone was a kid like these spring breakers and we all did stupid stuff- not as stupid as this but, they are bringing money to Panama city and helping waiters and beach people have jobs- If you come to Panama city and get hurt - thats all them they could have got hurt in there own town. They are kids and you can NOT OUTLAW Spring break. I do think there needs to be more family fun in Panama City but, they are kids and will learn one day.

So Dave? Work for the tourist industry? Nothing like minimizing stupid behavior probably cause by over-indulgence of alcohol!!! Small minds can only see beyond their nose (and their wallets) when it comes to business!!! Gotta actually spend money to make money when you change your tourism focus. Too bad the establishment and our elected officials only want to pick the "easy fruit" when it comes to tourism. SAD!!

There will always be idiots regardless of spring break or not. If we could attract tourism all summer at the rate we attract spring break these incidents would happen all summer. I've seen locals doing stupid things also, gravity affects everyone, not just the spring breakers!

Thats one lucky dude!!! A 16 floor fall sure would have put a dent in the parking lot asphalt.

Young whippersnappers with their sideburns and free thoughts. We should outlaw spring break, alcohol, swimming, and indoor plumbing.

If guns were the cause of as few as 1/10 the deaths caused by the the beaches each year I can only imagine the uproar of the population to outlaw guns
