An altercation between two Panama City Beach men Saturday afternoon landed one man in jail and sent the other to the hospital with a laceration to his throat.

Around 3:30 Saturday afternoon, Panama City Beach Police responded to an aggravated battery call near the Sandpiper Beacon Motel.

Chief Robert Harding says the two vagrants got into a fight and one of them cut the other across the throat with a box cutter type weapon.

Stephen Taylor, 39, was arrested and taken to the Bay County jail. Clifford Lowery, 43, was taken to Bay Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the two began to fight on the beach behind the Sandpiper Motel and it continued into the street.
