A hunter stumbles across several dead cats in the Apalachicola Forest and deputies are still trying to figure out how it happened.

Only one kitten was alive and 5 others were shot to death near Forest Road 361.

Authorities say several shotgun shells and a bloody newspaper are now being examined for clues.

Animal rescue officials say the three month old pastel calico kitten named Robbie is recovering at the Cauzican Care Rescue center in Crawfordville.

Officials say as of Sunday morning, the kitten was dragging her back legs as she tried to walk but she is happy and eating normally.

For Shame. Any one that will kill an innocent kitten will do much worse and needs to be locked up or at least punished to give them time to contemplate WHY they would do such a thing. It is too easy to give kittens away to go to these measures unless they enjoy it.

It was Osoma bin Laden and his crew. Send Mike Jones to round them up and lock them up.
