A single vehicle traffic crash in Jackson County Saturday night claimed the life of an Indiana man.

The crash happened on I-10, east of State Road 286 around 7:30 Saturday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the fatality as 54-year-old David Walker of Morristown, Indiana.

Troopers say Walker was westbound on I-10 when he lost control of his car and ran onto the shoulder. The left side of his car collided with a tree. Walker was not wearing a seatbelt and died on scene.

Another man was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night in Walton county.

29-year-old Robert Hamilton Lancaster of Freeport was driving south on 331, south of LaGrange Road, just before midnight.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Lancaster drifted onto the shoulder, over-corrected and lost control.

His car crossed both lanes of traffic, then continued off the road, into a ditch, a front yard and through a fence before flipping.

FHP says Lancaster was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
