Gulf Coast honors past presidents

Panama City- Gulf Coast Community College now has a display to honor the college's past presidents.
The college unveiled the new wall of legacy today in the Main Administration Building.
The wall honors the school's 4 past presidents: Dr. Ted Booker, Dr. Richard Morley, Dr. Larry Tyree, and Dr. Bob McSpadden.
Tyree and McSpadden, who are still alive, came to Thursday's dedication ceremony.
The daughters of Booker and Morley attended in their places.
"A whole array of emotional surface. This was my first presidency and I still remember so fondly the people, the students, faculty, staff, and board members. This was like a homecoming," said Dr. Lawrence Tyree.
"We want to make sure we give them proper recognition, so the legacy of leadership and having their pictures here and having it near the presidents office, so they can continue to council me as I go forward," said Dr. Jim Kerley.
