Medical License Suspension of Dr. Michael Reed

As expected, the state of Florida has officially pulled Dr. Michael Reed's license to practice medicine. However we have now obtained the official letter of suspension from the state surgeon general.

The Florida Department of Health issued an emergency suspension of Dr. Reed's medical license Thursday. It is somewhat of a moot point, since Reed will remain in the Bay County Jail until he is sentenced in November on a federal cocaine conspiracy conviction.

He was immediately jailed after pleading guilty last Thursday. Dr. Reed's girlfriend Amy Cooper is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.

An indictment claims Cooper made at least one telephone call to facilitate the distribution of cocaine.

WOw, how sad is that? He is really a great doc-respected by nurses and docs alike for his skill and knowledge. Hard to believe that this has happened. WIsh him the best and hope that somehoe the system can use his skill to help people...hate to see him be wasted.

Dr. Reed has operated on my spine on two seperate occations. The man has hands from GOD! Just because he made a huge mistake dosent mean hes a bad person. We all make mistakes. Mike got caught in satans trap and Im sure he regrets what he has done. GOD has forgiven him and so should all of us. I erge him to move foward and not look back. We cant change the past but we can ony look to the future. GOD bless you Dr. Reed!

Should be interesting to see how many of his buddies he rolled over on. Those names should start being listed soon. He got a deal, so he'll be testifying. It'll be like a revival for coke-heads.

Its a shame that when he became a doctor, probobly his parents and kinfolk were very proud of his accomplishment...now he has lost everything he strove to do or get out of life. What a sad waste of time, education and money.
