South Walton County's Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast has a new arrival.
The hospital has held the grand opening of it's new 21 million dollar Family Birth Place facility. It has every amenity and technology imaginable to do just that.
A staff of approximately 42 health care providers is busy familiarizing themselves with the new facility. And they say their goal is to make every delivery a celebration.
The latest technology includes security entrances and exits, a baby lounge, special birthing lamps, and a media center for families to e-mail pictures of the new baby.
The birthing and recovery rooms feature flat screen tv's, jacuzzi's, massaging showers, and much more.
Roger Hall is the President of Sacred Heart on The Emerald Coast.
"There are few people that walk around today with a Walton County birth certificate. And we're happy to be able to have Walton County on a birth certificate. And it's a celebration for our community to have this faculty."
The family birth place is hosting a community open house from 4 until 8 next Thursday evening and will be ready for patients on September 4th.
