Port St. Joe Fireworks Back At Home

Port St Joe Fireworks

After Port St. Joe city commissioners backed out of funding the fireworks for the 4th of July celebration, residents stepped in and stepped up to raise the money needed.

The Downtown Merchants Committee raised $5,950 for the fireworks display to be moved back to Frank Pate Park in Port St. Joe. Earlier this week, county commissioners said that without the $5,000 contribution from the city, the show would be moved to Veteran's Memorial Park in Beacon Hill.

Officials are currently working out the details of the contract, but are prepared to have the show put together where the residents want it most.
